Our Recent Trip to the Adelaide Zoo!

North Adelaide Dental Care recently visited the Adelaide Zoo, where we provide regular check ups for different species to ensure each animal's chompers are in tip-top health.

This is Dr Miller’s third time treating Sumatran Orangutan, Kluet’s teeth, with his first being a little over four years ago. In working with the Adelaide Zoo’s veterinary team, Dr Miller undertook a thorough examination, gum check, scale and clean.

Just like humans, it is very important for animals' overall health and well-being to have healthy gums and teeth. Adelaide Zoo does a fantastic job of looking after the animal's oral health with nutritious diets and enrichment. The keepers have even trained some animals to brush their teeth!
