Make a Pledge for World Oral Health Day

No matter what age you are, taking care of your mouth is crucial to your overall general health and well-being. Yet half the people in the world, according to the FDI World Dental Federation, suffer from preventable oral diseases such as tooth decay and gum disease affecting aspects of life we often take for granted – such as eating, speaking, drinking and smiling confidently.

Organised by the FDI World Dental Federation, World Oral Health Day is celebrated every year on the 20th of March, and is a global awareness campaign highlighting the importance of maintaining good oral health to lead happier, healthier lives.

This year’s World Oral Health Day is the final instalment of the 'Say Ahh' campaigns, with 'Say Ahh: Unite for Mouth Health.' It intends to encourage individuals to come together and pledge their oral health as a priority – because a healthy mouth helps us enjoy life.

The team at North Adelaide Dental Care joins the global movement to #uniteformouthhealth and pledges to ‘floss daily,’ ‘do exactly what my hygienist says,’ ‘make people smile because I care’ 'cut down on sugary treats - natural and artifical,' 'help people to not be afraid of seeing the dentist' and ‘educate my patients on the importance of good oral health.’ So, what will you pledge?
