Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) maximum claim amount over 2 years reinstated to $1000

In December 2016, the Federal Government announced the Child Dental Benefit Schedule (CDBS) would be cut from $1000 over two years to $700.

But today (February 8, 2017) the Minister for Health Greg Hunt announced the cap would be reinstated to $1000 per child over a 2-year period.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule (CDBS) is a dental benefits program for eligible children aged 2-17 years that under the new arrangement provides up to $700 in benefits to the child for basic dental services over a 2 year period. Click here to learn more regarding the scheme and eligibility.
