About Us

North Adelaide Dental Care is a smaller, family-owned practice with Dr Nick Heide as the principal dentist. We take pride in delivering high-quality care within a relaxed environment. Currently, we are in search of a Dental Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist in a part-time capacity.

The Role

We are seeking a motivated Hygienist/Oral Health Therapist to join our team at North Adelaide Dental Care. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping patients achieve optimal oral health and provide excellent patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform dental prophylaxis, periodontal scaling, root planning, debridement, and apply fluoride and sealants.

• Take and develop dental X-rays.

• Educate patients on oral hygiene and home care techniques.

• Record medical and dental histories of patients

• Assist with scheduling and maintaining patient records.

• Sterilise dental instruments and equipment.

• Maintain a clean and organised dental treatment room.

   

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of dental terminology, procedures, and protocols

• Excellent communication skills and ability to educate patients on oral health.

• Ability to work well in a team-oriented environment.

• Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.

• AHPRA registration 

• Working with Children’s Check.

• National Police Clearance.

• Professional Indemnity Insurance.

• Up-to-date vaccinations and Blood Borne Virus Screening

Skills & Experience

• Appropriate dental qualification recognized by the Dental Board of Australia.
